I know that sounds like a stupid question. I just wonder if the depression and mental disorders (anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, etc …) are common in people from the LA scene. For people on the scene, means not only famous in some way a part of the entertainment industry (comic makers.) And / or people who party a lot.

The reason I ask this because I have a son who has ADHD 8 years and since he won 't say he is bipolar mood disorder tell us instead. yea right they don 't live with him. However if they can 't put up some disorder in this age then why are they putting bipolar medications? Isn 't a bipolar mood disorder? What is the diffrence? Also why can 't just use the term bipolar child?

My four year old son is on a medication for bipolar disorder. When his father and his girlfriend(whom he lives with ) took him in all they had was a questionaire they filled out along with the school out. I talked to his teachers and they don’t think the diagnosis is corret either. He doesn’t see a counselor and hasn’t been to see a child psychiatrist or anything. I am worried about him because I think he needs counseling for anger control, I mean he’s been mad since his dad and split up. Without counseling divorce can be devistating to everyone. So what do I do…I asked his dad if we could be get a second opinion but he just bs’s his way out of that. Why is everyone so quick to jump to putting a child on meds?

My gf has bipolar disorder, and she gets Mania often and very depressed soon after. Her “normal” isnt very often. She has hullcinations when manic. She is violent at times too. She loves sex…alot. She’s loud, and likes to bite me sometimes. And she can write insanely well, like really well. She hates to eat, and constantily thinks shes fat, and wont eat. She has a low-self esteem. She will randomly spend outrageous amounts of money on odd things too…How do I help her? Or “deal” with her?

On the weekend I find myself trapped inside my bedroom till night fall and unable to leave because I’m scared of people.
